Helpful Ramp Construction

If you’re dealing with mobility issues – whether due to age or injury – many traditional home entrances can feel like a trap. Even a single step can present a challenge that you’re not equipped to handle, making entering and exiting your home difficult and uncomfortable, a process that requires the assistance of others.

At Solid Rock Enterprises, we understand how frustrating it can be to feel as though you’ve lost your freedom and ability to move around your property. That’s why we recommend the installation of a ramp. Ramps can be built for both short-term and long-term needs, and come in a variety of different materials to suit your taste and budget. And with over 30 years of building experience, you can trust that our team will help you make the right choices for your needs.

Different Ramp Styles

Your ramp can be built to accommodate your home’s overall style, your budget, and your needs. We offer a variety of different ramp materials, including:

  • Wood/Composite – Wood or composite ramps, like the top picture, are a great choice when you’re looking for a ramp that can fit in with your home’s décor. They’re like decks that are built on a slope, and can have many of the same functions.
  • Concrete – Concrete ramps, like the picture above, are a good option if you need a ramp that ties into existing sidewalk and is low to the ground. They’re a solid long-term choice, as they’re permanently installed and will last a lifetime. We install our concrete ramps with a textured finish to ensure slip resistance.
  • Modular aluminum – If you only need a ramp for a short time, or require a ramp on short notice, modular aluminum ramps are an excellent choice. They can be installed in a fraction of the time of other ramps, and can be easily disassembled and moved if your needs change.

Our team will work with you to choose the best type of ramp for your situation, and will guide you through the construction process so that you always know what’s going on. We want you to be comfortable with our work, whether you’re getting a short-term ramp for immediate accessibility or are choosing to modify your home with aging in place standards.
