My name is Chris Moore and I have over 27 years of experience in building, remodeling, and consulting. My first construction job in 1986 was working for a Czechoslovakian master carpenter trained in the Old Country as a pattern maker. The craftsmanship and attention to detail I learned from him formed the foundation of quality that goes into every Solid Rock Enterprises, Inc. project.
As the first Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) contractor in the Roanoke Valley I have the experience to make your home a home for a lifetime. I also hold an Executive Certificate in Home Modification from the Andrus Gerontology Center at USC, serve on the panel of experts at www.caring.com and have been writing a monthly column in the Senior News called Housing Matters for over four years.
I am also a recognized author providing numerous articles to industry such as these two on Angie’s List titled Universal Design: Creating an Accessible Bathroom and Home Modification for Senior Safety.
My list of 40 references of satisfied clients is attached. At Solid Rock Enterprises, Inc. when we say “Satisfied Clients are our Final Products” It is more than a slogan, it’s how we do business.
I have spent the years since then applying the skills I learned in a myriad of different construction projects, both new construction and remodeling. I also spent seven years selling building materials, doors and windows, floor and roof trusses as well as other building components.
In 2001, I formed Solid Rock Enterprises, Inc. to provide quality building, remodeling, and consulting services to the Roanoke Valley and beyond.
Every quality remodeling contractor should have multiple references from past clients. References should include the individual and/or company the work was performed for, a brief description of the project, and the phone number and address of the person providing the reference.
